Lion's Head

Last Friday Marc planned a wonderful evening for us - as it was full moon, he packed a picnic and took me up Lion's Head.

I had a work function on Friday afternoon, and as a result suffered up the mountain a little more than normal (will not recommend strenuous exercise after a few glasses of wine!). In spite of the dehydration though, it was definitely worth it. It is really spectacular from up there, and for a change the wind did not even blow - we could not have asked for a more perfect evening.

To top it all up, it was a green flash sunset - my first ever!

We did however not climb this last bit - the water was already finished!

The people on Table Mountain right next to us were not so lucky with the weather though.

Contemplative stare...

We must have taken a million pictures of the sunset - I have tried to chose the best ones...

Unfortunately the moon pics did not come out so great - needed a tripod. I hope you can get a vague idea of how huge it was!
